My name is Debbi and I have been a Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST) since early 2017, certified through CPSAC, the Child Passenger Safety Association of Canada. I stay current by completing yearly updates, volunteering at clinics and actively performing installations. In addition, remaining actively certified through CPSAC gives me access to a country-wide support network of techs whom I can turn to for advice, and in return, offer my experience to other techs.

I am a working mother to three young children and understand the overwhelming amount of information (and misinformation!) there is out there regarding car seats and safety. I had always been dedicated to reading my manuals and hands-on in installing my own car seats, and was able to obtain my certification after my third child was over one year old. I was shocked to discover that there were still so many things I didn’t know about keeping my children safe in the car.

My goal is to equip you with information and hands-on skills to transport children as safely as possible. I aim to empower you with up-to-date and research-backed knowledge so that you can be confident in your decisions.
